How to Hide Blemishes: Visit a makeup counter that has ‘Concealer’ product testers - this is important because you want a product that will exactly match your skintone. Keep in mind that the more opaque a concealer, the better it will hide blemishes. To test, try dabbing a small amount of concealer along your jawline (apply to a clean area where there is no existing foundation residue), then take a small mirror outside into natural daylight to see if the color is an exact match for your skin. Natural daylight provides the very best lighting for matching your skintone.
Once you have found a concealer that is a good match for your skintone, simply dab a bit of product onto the blemish. Let it dry and if you need more coverage, dab a bit more. Then finish with a loose or pressed powder dabbed (not rubbed) over the top to set your concealer in place.
Another option for hiding blemishes: If you’re already using a liquid oil-free foundation, you can try the above ‘dabbing’ technique with your foundation first to see if that works. Sometimes the left-over foundation around the rim of the bottle makes a good ‘concealer’ for blemishes, since it’s usually more dense. Finish with a loose or pressed powder dabbed (not rubbed) over the top - the powder will help the product stay in place.
